Ingredients

  • 500g bow tie pasta
  • 340g canned tuna
  • 1 cup (250ml) white wine
  • 240ml chicken stock
  • 1 cup (134g) frozen peas
  • 1 tomato
  • 2 mozarella 125g
  • half a cup (90g) parmesan
  • half a cup (60g) breadcrums
  • butter
  • 1 onion
  • flour
  • parsley

Method

Step 1

Grate half a cup of parmesan.

Step 2

Dice the tomato and onion.

Step 3

Prepare a breadcrumb mixture by stirring together half a cup of bread crumbs, 1/4th of a cup of parsley and 3 tablespoons of oil.

Step 4

Cook Pasta until al-dente. Drain and return to pot.

Step 5

In a seperate pot, melt a tablespoon of butter and cook the onion until translucent. Then add 2 tablespoons of oil, 2 tablespoons of flour, season with salt and pepper, and stir until flour is golden (about 3 minutes).

Step 6

Add 1 cup of white wine and stir until smooth. Add the chicken broth and keep stirring. Bring to a boil, then let simmer until sauce thickens up.

Step 7

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.

Step 8

Add the 2 pots together, then add frozen peas, tomato, 1 mozzarella, parmesan and tuna.

Step 9

After mixing it around, layer the mixture in a baking dish. Top with the other mozzarella and the bread crumb mix.

Step 10

Bake for 20 minutes or until gold and bubbling.
